A Brief History of a Courtside

The Courtside cocktail is inspired by the lively atmosphere of summer sporting events, particularly tennis matches like Wimbledon. Its name evokes images of enjoying a refreshing beverage while watching a game from the sidelines. Crafted to celebrate the season's fresh produce, this cocktail has become a favourite for outdoor gatherings and social occasions.

Taste and Flavour Profile

The Courtside cocktail presents a symphony of flavours:

  • Fruity Sweetness: Muddled strawberries and raspberries provide a natural, juicy sweetness.

  • Citrus Zing: Fresh lime juice adds a bright, tangy kick.

  • Floral Elegance: Elderflower liqueur imparts a subtle, aromatic floral note.

  • Crisp Refreshment: A splash of soda water introduces a light, bubbly finish.

This combination results in a well-rounded, invigorating drink that's both fruity and easy to sip.

Food Pairings

The Courtside cocktail pairs wonderfully with a variety of dishes, enhancing the overall dining experience:

  • Light Appetizers: Complement its freshness with bruschetta, caprese salad, or cucumber sandwiches.

  • Seafood Dishes: Its citrus and floral notes harmonize beautifully with grilled shrimp, ceviche, or smoked salmon.

  • Cheese Platters: Pair with soft cheeses like brie or goat cheese, accompanied by fresh fruits and nuts.

These pairings accentuate the cocktail's vibrant flavours.
